The two-day EU-Western Balkans Ministerial Forum on Justice and Home Affairs begins today in Sarajevo.

The forum is organized by the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU in cooperation with the Ministry of Security and the Ministry of Justice of BiH.

On the first day of the forum, dedicated to home affairs, participants will discuss the current state of play in the areas of online security, migration management, asylum, borders and visa policy harmonisation.

On the sidelines of the meeting, a new joint action plan for preventing and countering terrorism and violent extremism for the Western Balkans will be signed, the Ministry of Security announced.

On the second day, dedicated to the judiciary, participants will address strengthening the rule of law through judicial reform and the fight against corruption, democratic resilience and fundamental rights.

The forum will be held at the BiH Institutions Building.
