Members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović and Željko Komšić refused to include in the agenda of today’s session the initiative of Presidency member Željka Cvijanović to nominate the President of the United States of America Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, Srna writes.

In explaining this initiative, Cvijanović pointed out that during his second term, Trump, through his diplomatic engagement and personal authority, achieved results that left a significant mark on international relations and significantly contributed to the stabilization of numerous world crises.

“It is clear that President Trump’s diplomatic efforts have yielded visible and tangible results in different parts of the world, from Europe, through Africa to Asia and the Middle East. President Trump’s efforts have significantly improved global safety and security,” Cvijanović’s initiative stated.

Accordingly, Cvijanović emphasized that she believes it is justified for the Presidency of BiH to consider the aforementioned agenda item at today’s 25th regular session and make a decision on the official nomination of United States President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.
