Two Young French Men Arrived to BiH By Foot

bihac_04Two young French men decided to travel through Europe in an unconventional way-by foot in order to, according to them, escape the boring French way of life.

After their friend drove them to the Swiss border, they traveled through this country by foot and finally reached BiH. Since they realized early that this was a difficult endeavor, they also hitchhiked for a bit.

They were immediately delighted with the people in BiH, the culture and beauty of the Una river, so they stayed in Bihać for several days.

“It became a bit boring for us in France, so we decided to travel outside of our country. The journey itself was a little difficult when we decided to travel by foot. We read about Senad, a man who traveled by foot to Saudi Arabia for the Hajj pilgrimage. We liked the idea, so we decided to try the same’’, said 23 year old Filip. He added that BIH is a beautiful country and that Bosnians-Herzegovinians are honest people.

His 22 year old friend Ali said that this traveling experience plays an important part in his life, and hopes that it would bring a lot of positive experiences and new friends.

“I am French by birth, and my parents came to France a long time ago. It is nice in France, but when you are in one country for a long time, you wish to leave for a while. We gathered money for months in order to finance our trip’’, said Ali.

They will be in Bihać until Thursday and will then leave for Sarajevo to see the beauty of the capital city of BiH. From there, they will travel to Serbia, and then to Tureky, which they say they can hardly wait to see.
