UAE Ambassador received an Order from Vucic for not voting for the Genocide Resolution

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, honored the representatives of the countries that did not vote for the Resolution on the Srebrenica genocide, and he paid special attention to the ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed Abushahab, whose duplicity was particularly highlighted.

“In the world of diplomacy, sincere and strong friendly relations between countries are rare, although they often play a key role in achieving common goals and mutual progress. Our small country is proud of this kind of friendship it forged with the UAE over the years, with special thanks for the personal contribution Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, whose personal stamp on the development of our overall relations is a paradigm and a roadmap for their further growth and strengthening. That is why today I have the great honor and privilege to distinguish the UAE ambassador to the UN for his outstanding services in strengthening the partnership between our nations. rather, it reflects the importance that Serbia attaches to deep and lasting ties with the UAE, which it remains sincerely committed to nurturing,” wrote Vučić.

He further stated that the UAE ambassador to the UN, through his dedication and work, significantly contributed to the building of new bridges between cultures and peoples, which is essential for the influence and positioning of Serbian diplomacy in the region and on the global stage.

Aleksandar Vučić presented the Order of the Serbian Flag, second degree, to the permanent representative of the United Arab Emirates to the UN, Muhammad Isa Abushahab.

We remind you that in one of the most shameful performances during the vote on the Resolution on the Srebrenica genocide, Mohamed Abushahaba gave an “emotional speech” in which he even dared to use the name of the youngest victim of the genocide in Srebrenica.

Abushahab began his presentation by recalling the youngest victim of the genocide, a baby who was found in a mass grave in 2012, and whose mother named her Fatima so that the target would not be without an inscription at the funeral in 2013. Baby Fatima Muhić is also the youngest victim of the genocide, and she was buried next to the grave of her father.

“What happened in Srebrenica is genocide, this is an established fact established by the highest international courts. In the Balkan wars, the genocide in Srebrenica is well documented and serves as a reminder of the horrors that no community should suffer. We have always stood by our words and actions. with our brothers and sisters who faced unimaginable horrors in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Abushahab said.

So Abushahab, after he misused the name of the victim of genocide, and did not vote for the Resolution, of course it was a state decision and not his personal decision, has now received recognition from Serbia for his move.

Although broader reasons are given, it is clear that the reason for honoring Abushahab was precisely the vote regarding the Resolution on the Srebrenica genocide, because that is exactly what Aleksandar Vučić said after arriving in New York.

“I see that some have gone crazy because we are honoring people who protected international law and protected Serbia. This is our matter and our internal act,” Vučić told reporters in New York on September 23 ahead of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Klix.ba writes.
