cika_misoHusein Hasani, known as uncle Mišo, the legend of Sarajevo, died yesterday at 83 years old. Uncle Mišo was the only street shoe cleaner in Sarajevo. He has been doing this for nearly 70 years. He went to Titova Street every morning, where he worked. The war did not even stop him from working.

As the legend of the capital city of B&H, he received a special recognition of the City of Sarajevo 10 years ago, as well as an apartment provided by Canton Sarajevo.

He was born on 22 December 1931 and moved to Sarajevo from Kosovo as a teenager, and was married to a woman named Džemila, who died several years ago. He leaves behind his daughter Rabija.
