Responding to the needs of children living in temporary reception centers for refugees and migrants in Bosnia and Herzegovina, UNICEF is donating winter clothes, blankets, and boots in the total value of around 150 thousand BAM.
“Expecting the worsening of weather conditions, we are providing necessary humanitarian assistance and much-needed support to approximately 800 children by procuring and distributing various items to keep them warm. We are simultaneously continuing our support for providing protection, health and education. I am glad to confirm that UNICEF responsibly selected local producers who delivered high quality products within a short period of time.” – said Dr. Rownak Khan, UNICEF Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina during her visit to Una-Sana Canton.
The support includes blankets for babies, winter boots and socks, winter jackets, hats, scarves and gloves for children. In close collaboration with the relevant partners, UNICEF will ensure that all these items benefit refugee and migrant children across the country.
