Accommodation for about 120 students will be provided in the 1.5 million EUR worth dormitory, and all the funds will be provided by the Turkish city of Antalya. Construction works are expected to begin in a few months, and the completion of works is expected in about a year, in order for the student dormitory to be ready for the academic year of 2017/2018.

Mayor of Antalya Menderes Turel, who laid the foundation stone together with the rector of the University, said that this project is a gift of the city of Antalya to Mostar and a sign of affection and love between these two cities, and that Mostar, the city of culture, will become even bigger in its size with this project.

Rector of the University “Dzemal Bijedic” Sead Pasic thanked the Mayor of Antalya for the effort and the money invested in the project of construction of student dormitory, saying that the construction of this facility is very important for the University.

“Accommodation of students was our biggest problem for a long time. We have temporarily fix it with the Student Hotel, but the construction of the student dormitory will solve this problem on the long run,” said Rector Pasic.
