The US Embassy in BiH is marking the International Day for Women from 4-11 March with activities that celebrate the role of women in society, identifying the challenges they face and to discuss possible solutions to these challenges.
Different events will explore the status of women in politics, rights, media, business and society.
Over the last few years, the US Embassy has worked on the promotion and empowerment of women in all sectors of BiH society.
The US Ambassador Patrick S. Moon has set up a special fund of the Embassy to support non-profit organizations that work on empowering women in BiH.
The US donated around 10 million dollars in the last five years for political and economic empowerment of women in BiH.
