The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), at the proposal of the Federal Ministry for Veterans and Disabled Persons of the Defense and Liberation War, at yesterday’s telephone session, adopted a Regulation on one-time financial assistance for beneficiaries of rights in the area of veterans’ and disability protection. The one-time financial assistance amounts to 200 BAM.
The purpose of the Regulation is to provide financial and material support to improve the material status of beneficiaries of rights in the area of veterans’ and disability protection, financed from the Budget of the FBiH, due to the increase in the consumer basket price.
The right to this assistance applies to beneficiaries of personal and family disability pensions, monthly cash allowances based on recognition or decorations, and financial subsistence allowances, which are granted according to federal regulations and paid from the FBiH budget. One-time financial assistance is paid to persons who have recognized status as beneficiaries of these rights and were receiving allowances in the area of veterans’ and disability protection for the month of August this year.
It has been determined that persons who are beneficiaries of multiple of the aforementioned rights will receive the one-time financial assistance only once. In the case of beneficiaries who are entitled to a family disability pension and a monthly cash allowance based on recognition or decoration as co-beneficiaries, the amount of one-time financial assistance is divided into equal parts.
The total funds for the payment of this assistance will be provided in the FBiH Budget, under the allocation of the Federal Ministry for Veterans and Disabled Persons of the Defense and Liberation War.
The proposer explained that the implementation of this regulation requires securing funds in the amount of over 19 million BAM, for the payment of one-time financial assistance to more than 99.000 beneficiaries.
The Regulation enters into force the day after its publication in the Official Gazette of the FBiH, the Office of the FBiH Government for Public Relations announced.
