Zora Vidovic, the Minister of Finance of the Republika Srpska(RS), was at the hearing yesterday as a witness in the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), as part of the investigation launched against several persons from that BiH entity on suspicion of having committed a crime – an attack on the constitutional order.

The investigation in this case refers to a special session of the National Assembly of the RS (NARS), and conclusions on the transfer of state competencies of BiH to the entity level.

After the hearing, Minister Vidovic stated that she told the prosecutors the same as the officials from the RS who were previously heard as witnesses, ie that “the decisions of the NARS session did not violate the Constitution of BiH.

“I think that we are not violating the BiH Constitution, on the contrary, the RS wants to work and pass its regulations in accordance with the Constitution of BiH. We want the competencies that were taken away from us to be returned, and that is in accordance with the Constitution, ” Vidovic explained.

She also noted that she believes that “the investigation should be stopped”, and that the case that was formed has no epilogue of any guilt for the RS.

Hearings in the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH are being held as part of a case formed after the adoption of conclusions at the session of the NARS on December 10th on the transfer of competencies from state to entity level and will continue in the upcoming period.

On the same occasion, numerous officials and presidents of opposition political parties from that BiH entity have been questioned so far, and, as the media report, the summons to the hearing were sent to Marinko Dragisic, United Srpska deputy in the NARS, as well as NARS Vice President Milan Petkovic.
