Vienna Philharmonic has Announced the Program of Sarajevo Concert

viennaAs announced 2 year ago, the most famous symphony orchestra in the world- Vienna Philharmonic will come to Sarajevo.

The 100 anniversary of Sarajevo assassinations is a motive of their arrival, and the concert will take place at the renovated hall of Sarajevo Vjećnica.

The program of the concert is announced and contains some of the art pieces of Joseph Haydn, Franz Schubert, Alban Berg, Johannes Brahms and Maurice Ravel.

According to Fena, Vienna philharmonic will perform the anthem of Europe, from the last paragraph of 9th Symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven (treatment Herbert von Karajan) and Joseph Strauss waltz called Palm peace.

105 members of Vienna philharmonic will perform in Sarajevo.

The orchestra will be conducted by Franz Welser–Mös, who is the General music director of Vienna State Opera since 2010. Welser–Möst was born in 1960 and he conducted for the first time New Year’s concert of the Vienna philharmonic in 2011 and based on his perceived success got engaged as a conductor of the New Year’s concert in 2013.
