Sarajevo International Airport continued work on the construction of a VIP salon, located at the site of the former boiler room. The existing building will not be demolished but will be overhauled by reconstruction, Akta.ba business portal reports.

Reconstruction of the facility will last nine months and the value of the works is about 1.5 million BAM, and the VIP salon will be 300 square meters in size, and in one place it should provide VIP travelers with inbound and outbound travel.

The VIP lounge will have discreetly separated relaxation area, equipped with modern seating arrangements, information displays, WIFI and TVs, a press conference space, a separate area for organizing business meetings with multiple participants, a relaxation apartment that can be used and as a prayer area, a separate working part with the ability to hold smaller business meetings, a fully equipped sanitary and smaller catering facilities, with the possibility of providing catering services.

Also, the VIP salon should have a checkpoint, with space for customs control, check-in and passport control, and a welcome desk – reception area. It is envisaged that both the VIP lounge and all the services can be accessed from the ground and from the air, which will enable the use of the salon both for outgoing passengers and for those arriving at the International Airport Sarajevo.
