Voting for almost 10,000 BH Citizens from Abroad rejected?

The Central Election Commission (CEC) of BiH adopted the Decision on determining and publishing the number of voters in the report of the Central Electoral List for voting outside BiH for the General Elections 2018.

With this decision was decided that a total of 77,584 voters will be on the report of the Central Voting Register for voting outside BiH.

CEC BiH also adopted a decision with which they refused to enter 9.136 voters on the report of the Central Electoral List for voting from outside of BiH because the legally prescribed conditions were not fulfilled (proof of identity, proof of citizenship, proof of residence, unreadable application etc.) or a larger number of applications have the same address abroad.

Voters outside BiH who submitted their applications for registration after the deadline or whose application was rejected, if they have a valid personal ID card, can use their right to vote in BiH on the day of election on October 7.

A large number of voters submitted two or more applications with different addresses abroad. The Central Election Commission of BiH took into account the last-mentioned address, and thus invited all voters outside BiH to check their address listed on the website of CEC BiH and if the address is not right, to report it on the mail prijavapp@izbori.ba by August 15, as reported by CEC BiH.
