The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, arrived in Osaka today, starting a multi-day working visit to Japan that will last until September 17. His program includes a series of key political and economic meetings aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation.

Vučić will attend the official ceremony marking Serbia’s National Day at Expo Osaka 2025, after which he will visit the Serbian and Japanese pavilions to promote Serbian culture, innovation, and investment opportunities.

One of the highlights of the visit will be an audience with Emperor Naruhito at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo. In addition, Vučić is scheduled to meet with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba. Their discussions will focus on bilateral relations, investments, and cooperation in technology, infrastructure, and energy.

The visit will also feature a special event showcasing Serbia’s investment potential, attended by representatives of major Japanese companies. Serbia aims to attract new investments, particularly in the automotive industry, renewable energy, and the IT sector.

This is Vučić’s first official visit to Japan, marking a significant step toward strengthening political and economic ties between the two countries.
