Water Supply in the Canton Sarajevo to normalize soon

water supplyWater supply in Sarajevo is gradually normalizing during the day in terms of reducing water consumption in the zones.

However, the situation on the water sources in terms of hydrology is still very bad, the underground accumulations are in constant decline and the flow of water in the reservoirs is still weak. Improvement is not expected without the abundant rainfall.

“Mobile team will be monitoring the situation at the reservoirs and the main water source Sarajevo Polje during the day and inform the public and the media on time if it comes to possible changes in terms of water supply of Sarajevo Canton,” as announced from the Cantonal Public Utility Company  “Water Supply and Sewerage“ Sarajevo.

During the night time hours, from 00:00 a.m. to 05:00 a.m., the delivery of water is conducted under reduced pressure in the following parts of the city: from Dolac Malta to Baščaršija, Otoka, Č. Vila, Alipašino polje, Dobrinja, Saraj Polje, Rajlovac, Velešići, Pofalići, Kobilja Glava, Bare- Šip, Ciglane, Koševsko brdo, Alipašina and Koševo Streets, Cicin Han and Soukbunar; Podhrastovi; Grdonj, Sedrenik, Sokolovići, Vogošća, Pogledine, Hrid, Bistrik, Mahmutovac, Turkušići, Hrasno brdo.

Due to the construction work on repairing malfunctions on water supply network, today in the period from 09:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., possible disruptions in water supply might occur in the following streets: Bostarići, Nahorevska, Pofalička, Muhameda Efendije Pandže, Dolina Mira, Mahmuta Mahmutovića, Francuske Revolucije, Kurta Šorka, Mehmeda Arapčića, Kasima Hadžića, Budakovići, Kartal, Avde Sumbula, Pogledine, Baruthana, Čebedžije, Vratnik, Ophodža.

“We would like to take this opportunity to urge our valued customers to use water as rationally as possible, in order to provide sufficient amounts of water in reservoirs and maintain more or less normal water supply. We are also asking our consumers and citizens of Sarajevo Canton to show some understanding,” as said in the statement.
