With this humanitarian aid and humane gesture, Austria did, for numerous times in history, proved that it wants to continue friendly relations with Bosnia-Herzegovina. In this time of natural disaster which hit severely Bosnia-Herzegovina, Austria decided to be on the side of people in Bosnia and to provide humanitarian aid as soon as possible.
Namely, Austria sends 250 soldiers, who have already started towards Bosnia-Herzegovina. They will be allocated according to needs, which mean 250 of them will be allocated primarily in Maglaj, Brcko, Tuzla and Doboj. Additional 150 soldiers will arrive in B&H on Tuesday and immediately will be allocated to Banja Luka and Maglaj.
Additionally, same soldiers bring with them the following necessities: two tones of medical aid, 12 tons of food, 4 000 mattresses, 5 000 blankets, 6 000 pair of shoes, 17 000 jackets and trousers, 4 tons of food and 15 000 of different item for babies. Moreover, apart from bringing the necessities, soldiers will also participate in cleaning.
Furthermore, additional 160 soldiers with dredges and 150 trucks are already on their way from Salzburg to Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Also, President of this country, dr Heinz Fischer has already donated 260 million Euros on BH account.
