At the proposal of Sarajevo mayor Abdulah Skaka, Sarajevo City Council voted with 19 votes for the adoption of the Budget for 2019.

On this occasion, Mayor Skaka thanked city councillors for the support and constructive process of adopting this most important act for the City of Sarajevo. The total amount of the budget is 18.372.170,80 BAM.

“The Focus of the Budget for 2019 is on development projects that we continue to fulfil our vision of Sarajevo 2020. We have reduced the total spending and increased efficiency and realization,” Skaka said, adding that the City of Sarajevo has never had such a significant position and role in the progress of BiH.

In 2019, the city of Sarajevo will implement a series of capital projects, for instance European Olympic Youth Festival – EYOF through the opening of the Olympic Museum, to the start of the construction of a hotel in Vidikovac, the construction of a ski slope at Trebevic Mountain, and projects for the protection of cultural and historical objects.
