What will be the Price of the Return Ticket for Trebevic Cable Car?

Mayor of Sarajevo, Abdulah Skaka, commented the discussion on prices of ticket for the Trebevic cable car, and he noted that the return ticket for BH citizens will amount to 6 BAM, while the price of one-way ticket will be 4 BAM.

The price of ticket for Trebevic cable car for citizens of BiH will be 4 BAM and the return ticket will be 6 BAM, as noted at the session of the City Council of the City of Sarajevo. Tickets for children up to 7 years of age will be free of charge, and pets and bicycles will be able to drive in the cabin of the cable car as well, as noted at the session of the City Council.

During the presentation at the session of the City Council, Mayor Skaka took a firm stand that the price must be acceptable to citizens of BiH and that it is not justified to determine the economic price which, according to the analysis of the PE Sarajevo Ltd., would be much higher.

“As the mayor of Sarajevo, I will not allow for the cable car to be for elite only, it belongs to all citizens of Sarajevo and Trebevic is our biggest nature park. We found the solution for the minimum price that guarantees the sustainable operation of Trebevic cable car, for the facility to be in the development and we will not have to make additional investments. We proposed differentiated prices, i.e. special price for BH citizens that is in accordance with the purchasing power, and the price for tourists which is also much lower in comparison to similar objects in Europe,” noted Mayor Skaka.

The official opening of the Trebevic cable car is scheduled for April 6, the Day of the City of Sarajevo. The construction of the new Trebevic cable car cost almost 20 million BAM, and it is one of the most important post-war infrastructure objects in Sarajevo.
