“Victims of Prijedor should not be forgotten,” stated members of the newly founded political party “People and Justice” on the occasion of marking the White Ribbons Day, May 31.

The memory of victims of Prijedor was marked with a symbolic walk through the city and white ribbons, with which the participants wanted to pay the tribute to the victims as well as by throwing roses in Miljacka River from the bridge on Skenderija and religious prayers.

Bosniaks and Croats in Prijedor were ordered to put white ribbons on their arms and white sheets on their houses, so they could be recognized as non-Serbs.

In this way, criminals of Great Serbia wanted to make it easier for them to conduct crimes that people of Prijedor still remember with great sadness.
