Why was A Plane of the Romanian Air Force circling over BiH?

According to information from the Flightradar website, the plane of the Romanian Air Force was circling over Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) for a long period of time. It is probably a flight as part of EUFOR missions.

An An-30 plane of the Romanian Air Force took off from the airport in Sarajevo, flew north via Zenica towards Doboj, then continued towards Laktasi where it made a circle and headed south via Travnik, Bugojno towards Capljina, after which it headed north and landed in Sarajevo.

Aerial activities carried out by EUFOR are not an unusual phenomenon, and last year on several occasions planes of the Italian Air Force flew over BiH.

It is not necessary for EUFOR to obtain any permission from the authorities of BiH for missions over BiH.

The Antonov An-30 aircraft was developed in the Soviet Union, and its original purpose was to carry out aerial cartography, Klix.ba reports.
