The action of extinguishing the fire in the region of Veliki Stolac in the habitats of the rare and protected endemic species of Pancic spruce in the area of Visegrad continued today.

Workers of the Forest Farm “Panos” and the Fire Brigade from Visegrad are taking part in the action. No action from the air is planned for today due to the strong wind.

A report of the fire was received on July 27, the fire was brought under control and some parts were extinguished.

As they pointed out from the fire brigade, the terrain conditions are very difficult, there is a lot of natural burnt material that makes it difficult to extinguish and move. It is a ground fire that is the most difficult type to extinguish.
