Will Banja Luka get a Parking Free of Charge?

The saga surrounding the new parking price list in Banja Luka is still relevant today. After the President of the City Assembly, Ljubo Ninković, filed a criminal complaint against the mayor for, as he claims, an illegal decision to raise parking prices, Draško Stanivuković also spoke out about everything.

“I am making a decision, the rulebook is free parking for 10 days so that Dajić and his group of residents can put pressure on Elektrokrajina to lower the price of electricity,” said Stanivuković, announcing the decision for tomorrow.

He pointed out that this is an indication that Banjaluka is ready to give up income from parking fees if SNSD at the state or Republika Srpska level lowers the cost of living of citizens in any way.

“Relieve us of expensive electricity, Banjaluka will immediately have costs eight million less per year, we will immediately give up parking,” he said.

As he said, those ten days are an opportunity for the SNSD to show good will. He dismissed the criminal complaint, pointing out that it was probably written in the University Clinical Center, whose director is Vlado Đajić, the president of the SNSD Banjaluka City Board.

Stanivuković also reiterated that by law he had the right to make a decision on raising the price of parking without the Parliamentary majority, noting that his predecessors also independently changed the regulations, N1 reports.
