The University of Sarajevo selected consultants for realization of the Executive project for the construction and equipping of the first Library of the University of Sarajevo, which will be built in the campus of UNSA.
This object is the first one to be built in the Campus thanks to grant of the Saudi Fund for Development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which amounts to more than 34 million BAM.
“In accordance with the dynamics of implementation of activities, the negotiations related to signing of the contract with the selected consultants for realization of the Executive project for the construction and equipping of the Library of the University of Sarajevo are currently taking place. After signing the contract with the selected consultant, a period of six months is scheduled for realization of the Executive project on construction and equipping of the Library of the University of Sarajevo,” as said from the Department for Public Relations of UNSA.
After drafting and revision of the project follows the announcement of a tender for contractors for construction work, and then equipping of the Library. Memorandum of Understanding between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and BiH was signed on the 10th of May this year, which provides the 30th of June 2019 for start of construction works.
To recall, the conceptual design of the Library was done by the experts from the Faculty of Architecture in Sarajevo. Surface of building will amount to more than 15,000 square meters and will consist of two basement floors, a ground floor and two floors. It will include a conference hall, a repository for books, library with reading room, a multimedia center, a room for the administration, restaurant and other facilities.
