“Wizz Air” ceremonially opened a New Base on the International Airport Tuzla

Wizz AirThe largest low cost airline in the Central and Eastern Europe, Wizz Air, opened yesterday its twentieth base at the International Airport Tuzla, and Wizz Air‘s plane A320 was greeted with a special airport greeting with waterfalls.

Within the opening of the base, the first flight from the airport in Tuzla for Memmingenn (Germany) was accompanied. Together with an offer of existing routes from Tuzla: Malmo, Basel, Gothenburg, Dortmund, Eindhoven, in the first week of base operations, flights for four new destinations will start: Munich Memmingenn, Stockholm Skavsta, Frankfurt Hahn and Oslo Sandefjord Torp.

The Prime Minister of Tuzla Canton, Bego Gutic, thanked to the management of the International Airport of Tuzla and the company Wizz Air for opening a base in Tuzla and for recognizing a Government of Tuzla Canton as a serious partner.

For the economy and tourism of the most populated canton in B&H, yesterday’s event means a new opportunity for communication and connection with European cities, new employments, noted Gutic and added that soon, as a consequence of the opening of a new base, 63 new workers will be employed.

Director of the International Airport Tuzla, Rifat Karasalihovic stated that the International Airport Tuzla was marked at the map of Europe yesterday, as the twentieth base of the company Wizz Air.

Wizz Air started with work on the Airport Tuzla in May 2013, and until now, it transported more than 290.000 passengers, emphasized Daniel de Caravalho, a spokesperson of Wizz Air.
