The players of the VC “Bimal Jedinstvo” from Brčko won the 2nd Volleyball Tournament “SportZDK Volleyball Open” held yesterday in the City Arena in Zenica.
In the finals of the 2nd volleyball tournament “SportZDK Volleyball Open” the “Bimal Jedinstvo” women’s team from Brčko won against “BL Volley” from Banja Luka. The players from Brčko celebrated with the result 3:0. The players of Igman and the selection of SportZDK.ba fought for the third place. Igman won with the result 2:0 in sets.
The champions of B&H – Bimal Jedinstvo, added another trophy to their collection. The best player was Dijana Vasić. The youngest best player was Lamija Duraković from the SportZDK.ba team.
The president of the association “Sport Media” who organized this tournament said that he was very satisfied by the organization and that this tournament proved that Zenica has fantastic infrastructure.
“These were the first volleyball matches held in the Arena which makes us especially proud. The visitors watched a great volleyball especially in the finals when the players from Brčko regained a set that was almost lost. This tournament proves that Zenica has a fantastic infrastructure and people capable of organizing great sports events.” – said the president of the “Sport Media” association, Armin Mujkić.
At this year’s tournament 4 teams participated: Bimal Jedinstvo, BL Volley, Igman Ilidža and the SportZDK.ba team made out of players coming from the volleyball teams Breza 1934, Kakanj, Žepče, Maglaj, Željezara Zenica and Ruki Zenica.
The organizers announced even better and more quality tournament next year for all those who enjoy this sport.
