Two utility companies in Mostar Parkovi and Komos started cleaning a national monument – the Partisan Memorial Cemetery in Mostar – in Mostar.

The works include cleaning and disposing of garbage from this site and cultivation of vegetation, which is necessary for the reconstruction of the cemetery according to the adopted project phases.

The technical manager of the works, Milica Dogan, said that the works will last between seven and 10 days, depending on weather conditions.

Omer Pajic, the head of the Department of Municipal Affairs of the City of Mostar, especially emphasized the joint engagement of Mostar’s utility companies and is convinced that all planned works will be completed at this stage within the given deadline.

“This is only the first step on our way to our final goal of restoring the Partisan memorial in the cemetery of the National Monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The joint work of Park and Komos employees shows us that we can all do much more together for both the Partisan cemetery and for our city and state,” Sergej Sergio Sotric, the chairman of the Committee for the Reconstruction of the Partisan Memorial Cemetery in Mostar, said.
