World Championships in Beijing: B&H among 43 Countries

Medal Winners in Beijing cazin.netThe national team of Kenya is the most successful nation of the 15th World Athletic Championships in Beijing, which ended yesterday.

The athletes from Kenya won a total of 16 medals, of which seven are gold, six silver medals, and three bronze medals.

The second in the ranking of the countries winners of the medals is Jamaica with seven gold, two silver and three bronze medals, while the Americans won the most medals in total – 18, but one gold medal less than Kenya and Jamaica. Athletes of the USA won six gold, six silver and six bronze medals.

Among 43 countries whose competitors won at least one medal at the World Championships is also B&H, which shares the 32nd position with one bronze medal of Amel Tuka on 800 m.

The most successful national team from the region is Croatia, with two silver medals of Sandra Perkovic in discus throw and Blanka Vlasic in high jump, while Serbia has one bronze of Ivana Spanovic in long jump.
