Anel Macić, winner of the silver medal at the WKU World Championships in kickboxing which was held in Spain, arrived today in Konjic. He was welcomed by his parents, friends and fellow citizens.
Macić was surprised with a warm welcome in his hometown.
“I am so happy that my fellow citizens organized this for me after I won the silver medal in Spain. Also, it is my pleasure that my people from Konjic appreciate my success. I will try even harder to make them happy again in the future by bringing medals from big competitions. I would also like to thank Konjic Municipality, headed by the Mayor Emir Bubalo, the Police Office Konjic for support, the sponsors, trainers, parents, my girlfriend..”, Macić said.
As a reminder, in the final fight for gold on Sunday Macić was defeated by Shahez Fazil from Iraq.
