Genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes… A list of misdeeds committed by former General of the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS) Ratko Mladic (75) is long, said the world media.
He has now gotten a deserved punishment at the International Criminal Tribunal in The Hague: Life Penalty for the ”Balkan Butcher”!
German ‘Bild’ says that during the pronouncement of the verdict, former commander Of the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS) Ratko Mladic left the courtroom, after the defense’s request to delay the process because of the high blood pressure of the defendant was rejected earlier.
“They lie,” the 75-year-old shouted while Presiding Judge Alphons Orie was reading the verdict.
World media reminded that Mladic was arrested in 2011, after 16 years of escape. As the General Commander of Bosnian Serbs, Mladic is, according to the indictment, responsible for the banishment of the population, torture, murder, and rape.
