The director of the ATP tournament “Serbian Open” Đorđe Đoković said today that everything is ready for the start of the tournament and that the world’s best tennis player Novak Đoković should arrive in Banjaluka tomorrow or on Monday.

Đorđe Đoković expressed his belief that Novak will be delighted with the change in Banjaluka, that he will enjoy the great tennis complex and the atmosphere that reigns in the city.

He thanked everyone who worked on this project.

“We are overjoyed that we managed to organize a tournament like this in such a short period of time. I don’t know if a tournament of this level has ever been organized in such a short period of time,” Djokovic told RTRS.

He added that they expect full stands every day of the tournament.

Djokovic pointed out that the wish is for the fans in the stands to enjoy the best tennis in the world.

The President of the Republika Srpska Tennis Association, Draško Milinović, said that tomorrow, on the day of the qualification for the “Serbian Open” tennis tournament, entry will be free, so fans of the white sport will be able to enjoy the matches.

Milinović invited all citizens of Banja Luka to visit the newly opened courts tomorrow and see the best tennis players in the world training.

He expressed satisfaction that the works were completed in a short period of time and that everything is at a high level.

“We complied with all the standards, the pitches are in perfect condition, everything looks perfect,” added Milinović.

“Serbian Open 2023” is an ATP tournament from the 250 series, which, after two consecutive years of being held in Belgrade, is moving to Banjaluka this year.

The tennis elite on Banja Luka clay will be led by world number one Novak Djokovic and three-time Grand Slam winner Stanislas Vavrinka.

28 players will participate in the singles.
