Vico Zeljković, President of the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, issued a message following the Dragons’ qualification for the final of the 2026 World Cup play-offs.
The head of Bosnian football praised the national team and congratulated them on a major triumph.
“In a tense, nerve-wracking match, the players showed heart, character, and courage. They rightfully reached one step away from qualifying for the World Cup. We have a big game ahead, but playing at home will give us an advantage,” he said, adding:
“I congratulate all the players and the coaching staff on this fantastic achievement. We believed in our team, we dreamed of this outcome, and now a great opportunity lies ahead. We face a multiple-time European champion, which is a strong motivation for our players to show what they are made of. Tonight we celebrate, but from tomorrow, we focus fully on what awaits us in Zenica,” Zeljković said.
