Ervin Zukanović gave his first interview for the official site of Roma, after he came from Sampdoria. The B&H national team player said he is happy because of the arrival to Roma and that his decision to come to Roma was greatly influenced by the presence of Edin Džeko and Miralem Pjanić in that club.
How do you feel as a new player of Roma?
Every footballer wants to play on a high level and for a great club. I succeeded in that and I am happy.
Roma was not the only club that wanted you, how were the negotiations going?
I was under a great stress during past several days and it was truly confusing. I wanted to come here because Roma is a fantastic club. So, my intention was to try to come to Roma.
Edin Džeko and Miralem Pjanić are already in Roma, did that influence your decision anyhow?
That influenced my decision a lot, because I played with them for the national team. When I came, they gave me many advices. It is easy when you have friends like them who can help you a lot. Nevertheless, already after one day I realized that all players are amazing.
Do you know that Roma’s fans are sharing your goal against Lazio on social networks? There is a unique rivalry here.
The Roman derby is something fantastic and I know that the fans are very passionate about it. However, I am concentrated and I want to be good. We will see what will happen.
