In the building of the Special Police Unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) of the Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDK), 100 cadets officially took the oath today and became police officers.

After the training, the young men and women took up their duties with a solemn oath-taking ceremony.

At the end of April, a new generation of 118 police officers goes to the police academy. This is just one of a series of planned competitions to fill the missing staff in the Zenica-Doboj Canton police.

“In the next period of time, many colleagues will retire. There will be plenty of vacancies. Anyone who wants and loves this job, I would recommend him to apply, he will not regret it, I did not. It is a great honor to be the most successful cadet in his generation,” said Eldar Bajrić, a police officer.

The Police Commissioner of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, ZDK Admir Gazić announced that a new competition for the recruitment of police officers will be announced soon.

“In the coming period, I hope by the beginning of June, we will announce a new competition for the recruitment of up to 190 police officers, perhaps 30 junior police inspectors. This will be a transition, we will fill the missing staff, considering that around 270 people will retire next year,” said Gazić.
