sunLong periods of warm weather, including a few dangerous thermal waves, is a forecast for summer in the southern and eastern Europe.

Long, warm summer and longer periods with temperatures above average for will cover the area from Italy to the Balkan Peninsula.

On contrast, residents of the UK and Ireland will not feel warm enough this summer, and between these areas with different weather forecasts, there will be countries from France to the Czech Republic with frequent storm winds.

On Balkans, especially in July and August, very high temperatures above 32 degrees Celsius are expected to stay for longer than a week.

“Record high temperatures are possible during the most intense heat waves,” warns meteorologist Alan Reppert.

Macedonia, Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania are facing the greatest danger of heat, and meteorologist Tyler Roys adds that another problem will be smog and poor quality of air.

Extreme heat in southern and eastern Europe will limit the amount of rainfall, which will increase the risk of drought.
