Significant Increase of Passengers at Sarajevo International Airport

In August 2019, a total of 178,943 passengers passed through Sarajevo International Airport, an increase of over 12.0 percent compared to the same month last year.

This continued the rapid growth of traffic, which significantly contributes to the overall development of tourism in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Sarajevo International Airport stated in press release on Saturday.

Last month, 1,710 air operations were realized, an increase of 8.0 percent over the same period last year.

In total, 817,606 passengers went through Sarajevo International Airport in the first eight months of this year, an increase of over 9.0 percent compared to the first eight months of last year.

Sarajevo International Airport expects that the number of one million passengers, realized in December 2018, will be reached by the end of October or beginning of November this year.
