Five Persons arrested after Two Construction Workers died in Sarajevo

The investigation in Stup settlement, which was managed by the duty prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Sarajevo Canton, has been completed.

Two workers were killed in Nikola Sopa Street at around 11.30 on Wednesday at the construction site. Sarajevo police said M. Đ. born in 1962 and E. B. born in 1994, while a third worker, A. M. born in 1962, sustained severe bodily injuries, Radio Sarajevo reports.

He was released for home treatment after receiving medical treatment.

On suspicion of having committed a “Serious criminal offense against the general security of people and property” in connection with the criminal offense of “Improper construction works” under Article 326 of the same law, police officers of the Sarajevo Canton Police Directorate arrested five people.

They are housed in the premises of the Unit for Security of Facilities and Detention of Persons Deprived of Liberty and, under the supervision of the duty prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Sarajevo Canton, the criminal investigation will continue over today.
