The donation of the government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is still stored at the Sarajevo International Airport, the spokesman of the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) of BiH Ratko Kovacevic confirmed for “Avaz“.

It is a very valuable medical aid that includes 40 respirators and a large number of coronavirus tests, 25,000 protective clothing sets, 150,000 pairs of gloves, 150,000 N95 masks, 150,000 disposable surgical masks, 150,000 disposable protective masks, 50,000 visors and 20,000 goggles, 40 respirator and 100,000 coronavirus tests.

This is a donation given to the citizens of BiH by Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma el-Maktoum, the wife of the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum.

As Kovacevic explained, the distribution is awaited because it is required that the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH submit the market value of each individual case within the donation.

“This is required so that each individual item from the donation can be cleared according to its tariff number. Such is the procedure, and of course the Indirect Taxation Authority BiH, when this process is over, will make a decision on exemption from customs duties because it is a donation,” Kovacevic pointed out.
