Significant Decrease of Pupils enrolled in Schools across Bosnia and Herzegovina

In the school year 2019/2020, on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, there were 112.796 pupils enrolled in 315 schools, which was 4.679 pupils less or 4% lower in comparison with the previous year. In the school year 2019/2020, there were 12.716 teachers included in the education process, out of which 7.828 or 61.6% were women, according to the latest data from BiH Agency for Statistics.

Тechnical schools were attended by 55.7%, while 22% pupils attended grammar schools and 19% of them attended vocational schools.

At the end of the school year 2018/2019, there were 32.540 pupils who completed secondary school, which was 423 pupils less or 1.3% lower in comparison with the end of the school year 2017/2018. Percentage ratio of male and female pupils who completed school was 50.8% male and 49.2% female.

In the school year 2019/2020, there were 24.151 teachers included in the education process out of which 17.614 or 72.9% women.
