Ministers of Culture and Sports of Canton Sarajevo, Muharem Sabic and Mirvad Kuric, signed agreements on co-financing the construction of the “Business and Sport Center Trnovo” in Bjelasnica with the Mayor of the Municipality of Trnovo, Ibro Berilo.

This will be one of the most modern centers in the region, and it will be constructed on a total area of 11.21 hectares at an altitude of 1,300 meters. Moreover, it will offer everything necessary for demanding training programs for professional athletes.

In this way, Bjelasnica and Igman will be mountains with adequate contents throughout the year, as noted at the presentation of the center.

The cost of the construction of the center without infrastructure will be around 17 million BAM and Mayor Berilo stated that almost 50 % of the funds are already allocated, and that the construction should start in the following few days since the process of obtaining property – legal and construction permits are in the final stages.

Berilo also said that around 23 million BAM will be needed for realization of the entire project, including infrastructure, and that it should be completed in two and a half years. He also added that it will be the largest project of this municipality so far.

This center will have two football fields constructed in accordance with FIFA standards, eight small terrains, a sports hall, swimming pools, fitness, sauna and everything else that athletes need.
