golubovi-potocari175 doves of peace are symbolically released at the Memorial Center Potočari, as a sign of remembrance and respect for the 175 victims of the Srebrenica crimes.

“We come here every year and traditionally release pigeons. Pigeon is a symbol of peace, and in this way we want to send a message of peace from Potočari”, said for the portal Prijatelji Srebrenice, Almir Gradišić, a member of the Club.

Director of Memorial Center Potočari Mersed Smajlović said that he is glad that every year is being organized such action.

“This is a symbolic message of peace and love. They will be here in a certain period and then they leave to Sarajevo”, said Smajlović.

This is a traditional action that every year on 10 July is organized by Association of Pigeon Breeders from Sarajevo.
