Sarajevo records lower Number of Infected with Coronavirus

In the past 24 hours, 41 newly infected people with coronavirus were confirmed in Sarajevo Canton. In the same period, 88 of them recovered from Covid-19 infection.

Of this number of newly infected, 28, or 68.29 percent, belong to family clusters or contacts with previously infected people, which is why they are in self-isolation from before.

Unfortunately, five patients who were infected with this virus died. 624 people were tested for coronavirus last day.

Today, Sarajevo Canton records 962 active cases of COVID-19 infection. The total number of infected is 51,918, while the total number of cured is 49,742.

Currently, 4,105 citizens are in self-isolation. According to the data of the Institute of Public Health of Canton Sarajevo, in the past seven days, the average number of infected is 41, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 92.

Currently, 202 people are hospitalized in CS, 142 at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS), and at the General Hospital “Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakas ”60 patients.

There are five patients using respirators. At the same time, 26 patients use oxygen support for breathing above 15 liters per minute at the KCUS, and four at the General Hospital.
