Panić and Trivo Vukić were found guilty, as members of the Miskoglav company, and sentenced to 15 years in prison each for participating in the abduction and murder of 11 civilians who were imprisoned in the Home in Miskoglav. Knežević was sentenced to ten years in prison, and was found guilty of shooting a civilian who was trying to escape with a rifle as a member of the 43rd Prijedor Brigade Military Police.
By the same verdict, Miodrag Glušac, Ranko Babić, Ranko Došenović, Milorad Obradović and Milan Vukić were acquitted of the charges that included taking around 120 civilians from the Home in Miska Glava to the stadium in Ljubija, as well as abusing them and taking them to the locality of Kipe, where they were killed in July 1992.
Panić, Trivo Vukić and Knežević did not appear at the sentencing, and they were remanded in custody by the Court’s decision.
With them were accused Slobodan Taranjac and Rade Zekanović, against whom the proceedings were separated due to their health condition, while the proceedings against Marinko Praštal were suspended due to his death.
The trial in this case began in April 2017. An appeal to the Appellate Chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina is allowed.
