Naselje-Vitkovici-620x465The Prime Minister of the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton Emir Frašto and the General Director of “Bekto Precise” Enisa Bekto signed an agreement on the transfer of unused land in the industrial zone Vitkovići, where companies from Goražde will build one of the most modern tool shop in this part of Europe.

In addition to the multi-million investments in the construction of factories and the acquirement of machines and equipment, in this way 60 new jobs will be created.

“We want to expand current capacity because we have a problem with lack of space, so it is why we are expanding in Vitkovići. We have taken some buildings before we got the support of the Canton. They are already in the process of rehabilitation and we will start with production soon. A number of workers have already been received and they are being retrained and educated with us in the main facility, and then will be transferred to Vitkovići, said Enisa Bekto.

The signing of the contract with “Bekto Precise” industrial zone, where the chemical industry “Azot” once existed, is filled, and in the place that has been devastated and with overgrown weeds new modern buildings have been built and are being built.

“We expect that in Vitkovići around 2500 people will work, which is more than before the war. This is a huge success and we have achieved this thanks to people such as Enisa Bekto, her father Redžo Bekto, people who were in charge of the economic development of the canton. They came in 1996, when no one else had the courage, and today they are the leaders of economic development’’, said Frašto.

The Minister of Economy Damir Imamović promises continued support of interested investors, improvement of road infrastructure in industrial zones, and the formation of new industrial zones.

“The government will soon reach a decision to do research for one location in the public domain. After that, we have to provide at least 20 additional acres for the future development of the industry in BPK Goražde’’, said Imamović.
