Marking ceremony, as in previous years, was attended by representatives of anti-fascist associations from Slovenia, as well as numerous cities in BiH.
Members of the Association of anti-fascists and veterans of the national liberation war of the municipality of Stari Grad marked the 71st anniversary of the liberation of Sarajevo in the World War II by laying flowers and wreaths in front of the Visegrad Gates in Sarajevo, the Memorial to national hero Mustafa Dovadzija and in front of monument next to the Volunteer Fire Department on Vratnik.
On the hour of history at Visegrad Gate on Vratnik was emphasized that on the 5th of April 1945 at 5 pm, the first combat units of the 16th Muslim Brigade entered in Sarajevo over Vratnik together with the other brigades and liberated the city.
They emphasized the importance of the celebration of this date, as well as the fact that the anti-fascists celebrated this anniversary even during the aggression on BiH.
