Obren PetrovicMayor od Doboj, Obren Petrovic said that after the last year’s floods around 90% destroyed objects were restored.

As he said, International organizations led by the Embassy of the USA in B&H are the most responsible for this.

“Doboj is on the right way to succeed. Despite the fact that the entire B&H is in a hard situation, I think that we had a good perspective for progress and development.

He said that thank to the foreign donations, the budget of the City of Doboj adopted few days ago, was stabilized, although it was considered hat the budget for 2015 will amount to only 20% of planned budget.

However, Petrovic emphasized that the biggest problem is the reconstruction of economy, because there are 750 enterprises in Doboj, and he hopes that the Government of RS will restore destroyed enterprises with the Fud of solidarity.

He emphasized that neither 33 houses destroyed by the activation of landslides were not restored, but they are planning to restore them in the cooperation with the International community.

He sees a salvation from floods in the realization of the project worth 24 million BAM designed by the City of Doboj and which provides digging canals along the river Bosna.

“We have to make concrete steps and edit the riverbed of Bosna, because as soon as it rains, citizens get uncomfortable and become afraid of new floods”, said the Mayor of Doboj, Obren Petrovic at the end.
