98,473 Tourists visited BiH in February

Bosnia and Herzegovina was visited by 98,473 tourists in February, which is 3.9 percent more than in the same month last year, and one percent less than in January.

Tourists spent 214,931 nights in February, which is 2.1 percent more than in February last year, and 8.3 percent less than in January, according to data from the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the total number of nights, the share of domestic tourists is 32.7 percent, and foreign tourists 67.3 percent.

The number of nights spent by domestic tourists in February is 4.6 percent less than in the same month of 2024, and 7.8 percent less than in January, while the number of nights spent by foreign tourists is 5.8 percent more than in February last year, but 8.5 percent less than in January.

In February, the most overnight stays were recorded by tourists from Croatia – 34.1 percent, followed by tourists from Serbia – 17.6 percent, Slovenia – 8.7 percent, Turkey – 7.1 percent and China – 3.5 percent, while tourists from other countries recorded 29 percent of overnight stays.

The net occupancy rate of rooms in February was 23.7 percent, and the occupancy rate of permanent beds was 18 percent, while in the same month of 2024. the occupancy rate of rooms was 23.6 percent, and the occupancy rate of permanent beds was 18.2 percent.

By type of accommodation facility, the largest number of overnight stays was recorded in hotels and similar accommodation with a share of 95 percent, according to Srna news agency.
