Before the start of this year’s meeting of heads of states of South East Europe, in Brdo near Kranj, President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said that there is not much love, but a lot of interest in politics and relations between countries, but it is important for everyone to send the same or similar message, as reported by Tanjug.
President Vucic recalled that he had a bilateral meeting with the Croatian member of the Presidency of BiH Dragan Covic on the sidelines of the forum, and he will meet with President of Macedonia Giorgio Ivanov and President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier, as well as other leaders.
He also announced that he will start a topic of economic integration, or the regional economic zone at the summit, as well as the working lunch and the plenary session.
“I’m not giving up from that. I will be very persuasive. This is a regional economic zone, a single market, an attempt to make the Western Balkans six, or five plus one as we say, but also an opportunity for closer relations with the countries of EU in the region, i.e. Croatia and Slovenia,” stated Vucic.
President Vucic said that in accordance with this, he talked with Covic about the participation of Serbia in the Mostar Fair, at which Serbia will be a sponsor.
“This was not possible before, and we are planning to invest some serious money and present Serbia in the best way possible in Herzegovina, in order to be a factor that will get Serbian and Croatian people closer and I believe that we will succeed,” said Vucic.
He added that reduce of the credit rating for Agrokor is making a problem to everyone, including BiH, Serbia, and Croatia.
“We will have problems in the future regarding this, and I am ready to talk with all of them in the upcoming period on this topic, to see what to do. Each topic is good, medicines, the opportunity to discuss the situation in the region, as well as an opportunity to think about new projects, about what we can do together,” concluded President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.
