Export of the intended industry of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) has more than doubled in the last four years.
From January to December 2017, BiH exported merchandise goods, primarily weapon and ammunition, in amount of more than 193.000.000 BAM to other countries.
Only in December, almost 30.000.000 BAM were exported, which is an increase of 20 percent compared to November, while imports amounted to 14.000.000 BAM for the whole year.
According to the Statistics Agency of BiH, the 2017 export represents 113 percent of the 2016 export volume, which is an increase of 13 percent. Also, imports have grown, so it is recognized that they grow by 35 percent.
In 2016, our country has managed to sell weapon and ammunition abroad worth over 171.000.000. BAM, which again represented growth of 25 percent compared to 2015. Imports were rounded to 10.000.000 BAM.
In 2015, BiH exported weapon and ammunition in amount of 136.000.000 BAM, which was extremely favorable compared to 2014, as it has recorded growth of as much as 47 percent! Import in that year was for one half lower than today – 7 million BAM.
In 2014, exports were in figures below 100 million BAM – back then BiH sold its products from the intended industry for about 92.000.000 BAM, while imports amounted to about six million BAM.
From the mentioned data, which was available thanks to the Statistics Agency of BiH, it can be concluded that the exports in the intended industry have achieved respectable expansion in the last four years, since it doubled its profit.
