Activities of the project ‘Training for Improving Business and Project Abilities of Women from Rural Areas’ will be finalised with giving the certificates to 69 women from BiH at the solemn ceremony which will be held on Monday, 18 March in hotel ‘Bristol’ at 11.15 a.m.
Those women who passed the training, and who wrote several projects will receive certificates from Robert Mahoney, deputy manager of USAID Washington.
The aim of these trainings was to develop project writing skills in women from rural areas, and by the end of the training 14 projects worth 500 000 BAM were created and 10 of them were given to different institutions, and one of the project has been already approved for financing. It is expected that these activities will result in improving the business abilities of women and attracting the investment to rural areas.
As a part of the planned event, information on available funds in BiH (donor or those for financing women entrepreneurship) will be presented, and another theme will be the inclusion of marginalised groups to planner projects.
Aforementioned trainings were financed by USAID/Sida FARMA project, and were realized by Agency for Cooperation, Education and Development from Banja Luka. Sixty nine women from 20 municipalities participated in these workshops (Vlasenica, Foča, Milići, Tuzla, Bratunac, Srebrenica, Istočno Sarajevo, Sokolac, Han Pijesak, Prnjavor, Banja Luka, Čelinac, Nevesinje, Jezero, Doboj Jug, Brod, Modriča, Novi Grad, Bosanska Krupa, Doboj) which was implemented from November 2012 to March 2013.
