A Company in BiH with One employee had an Income of over one billion BAM

This is one of the largest companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina in terms of total revenues

The company GEN-I d.o.o. Sarajevo was among the 20 companies with the highest revenues in the Federation of BiH according to data for 2023.

Last year, this company had total revenues of around 357 million BAM, as well as a profit of 347 thousand marks, writes BiznisInfo.ba.

What makes this company specific is that last year, as in previous years, it had only one employee.

The company deals in electricity trade, and this type of activity explains the small number of employees, considering that they only need a person who will contract the purchase and sale of electricity.

The situation is similar with other companies engaged in this activity, which generally have one or a few employees.

GEN-I is part of the GEN-I Group, one of the leading and fastest growing groups for trading and selling electricity in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe. The owners of the company are from Slovenia.

In earlier years, the company had even higher revenues. Thus, in 2022, also with one employee, it had revenues of even 761 million marks, and the year before that 431 million BAM.

So, last year, the company’s revenues were more than halved, which could be expected because there was a drop in the reliability of electricity on the market.

Let us remind you that the year 2022 was marked by high prices of energy products and electricity, after Russia’s attack on Ukraine. Last year the market stabilized.
